Hi! I'm Alex Chernyakhovsky, and I am an 12th grade student at Mason High School. I am interested in Computers, Mathematics, and Science. I am a programmer, proficient in C/C++, Java, (X)HTML, CSS, Shell Scripts, Visual Basic, SQL, PHP, and others. I am currently learning Perl, Python, and Ruby.
I am interested in complex bio-simulations and high-performance supercomputing. I am currently working on the Epidemiology of Avian Influenza.
I was one of the National First-Place Winners in the 2008-2009 Young Epidemiology Scholars Competition.
I was 2nd place in teams at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Atlanta, Georgia in 2008. I participated in ISEF again in Reno, Nevada in 2009, winning a number of Special Organization Awards.
I was also a Siemens Competition Regional Finalist during the 2007-2008 competition, as well as a Semifinalist during the 2008-2009 competition.
